Cyclodione, an unsymmetrical dimeric diterpene from Cylicodiscus gabunensis

The structure of cyclodione ( 4) isolated from the stem bark of the tree Cylicodiscus gabunensis has been determined by spectroscopic methods. Cyclodione ( 4) is a nonacyclic dimeric cassane-type diterpenoid.
