Description
Summary:The structure of polymer solutions at interfaces has been the object of intensive study : scaling analysis has provided many theoretical results. We present a survey of the work initiated by de Gennes and Alexander, and followed by Eisenriegler, Kremer and Binder using the magnetic analog. We compare the surface multicritical state at absorption edge to the bulk tricritical state at the Flory temperature. We give some of the detailed results obtained in Saclay. From the experimental point of view, test of scaling is given by the molecular weight dependences of the observables. However, more recently, deeper insight has been gained by use of neutron scattering techniques developed by the Saclay Group.
