Summary: | Two programs have been developed and tested for over five years in industrial practice. ‘AGIT’ provides the parameters for the design of a tank-type gas-liquid system. ‘TWOFAZFLOW’ provides parameters for the design of tubular gas-liquid systems. Both programs have been carefully developed to make use of the pertinent fluid mechanics. When semi-theoretical or empirical correlations are needed, several of the most reliable methods are employed and all results are printed for consideration by the designer. This procedure allows the designer to exercise his or her judgment without having to complete a number of tedious algebraic or graphical procedures. Program output is presented in tabular form. ‘TWOFAZFLOW’ is flexible in its input format and can be used easily on either a batch or time-sharing system. |
