Summary: | The thermogravimetric behaviour of some epoxy amine systems with different structures (functionality of the epoxide, presence or absence of aromatic nuclei in the hardener) has been studied under oxidative and non-oxidative conditions. The results show the strong influence of the hardener aromaticity, the nitrogen atom nucleophilicity and the amine concentration on the degradation process. The mechanisms are discussed on the basis of relationships between structure and behaviour. |
