Summary: | The stability of an oil furnace carbon black, a graphitized carbon black and a platinized carbon black suspension, respectively, was studied in the presence of surfactants and electrolytes as a function of pH. Complete domains are given in terms of the concentrations of the additives and pH which delineate the regions of stable and flocculated suspensions. Electrokinetic and adsorption data are also reported. |
