Summary:An algorithm is presented which searches, in a step-wise fashion, the optimum rules for linking records from two sources. The rules are optimum in the sense that they use a minimum number of variables which yield gross and net matching errors (bias) within the pre-specified maximum levels, i.e., the algorithm gives a Bias of the Order You Specify (BOYS).
