Summary: | Interpolation for explicit Runge-Kutta pairs seems to be more suited to exploiting parallelism than is implementation of the pairs themselves. Recently a sequential pair BS(4,5) was derived that appears to be more effective than the pairs found in popular sequential codes. A fifth-order interpolant is developed for the BS(4,5) pair that can be constructed on one processor at the same time that another processor is advancing the integration. |
