Summary: | A simplified mathematical technique is presented with which preliminary evaluation of the effects of roof spray evaporative cooling can be made. This method incorporates the effects of solar flux, ambient temperature and the humidity of the environment and is much simpler to implement than previously suggested models. The use of the model is illustrated via the use of TMY weather data for Washington, D.C., and the trends predicted are found to be consistent with that in the literature. |
