Summary: | Dielectric measurements were conducted for five dipole liquids. Dipole moments were calculated from the experimental data using formulae divided from the Onsager theory taking into account the ellipsoidal shape of the molecule, assuming for the diluted solutions in the first case that the dipole molecule environment is a medium having the same permittivity as the solution and in the second case that the environment is a medium having the same permittivity as the solvent. Making use of literature data dipole moments for seventeen dipole liquids were also examined from this aspect. |
