Summary: | The redox kinetics and the electrochemical behaviour of cytochrome
c entrapped in a cellulose triacetate membrane have been investigated with reference to the behaviour in solution. The results suggest that the membrane plays an important role in controlling the redox properties of the immobilized protein; diffusion of the reagents into the membrane is rate-limiting, and the nature of the working electrode has no effect on the observed electrochemical behaviour. |
