Summary:Magnetic structures are studied in the case of a Bravais lattice when biquadratic interactions jS 4 exist in addition to the bilinear ones JS 2 between first and second nearest neighbours. Modes coupling is found to occur even at small jS 2 / J ratio values. We derive the susceptibilities of single and coupled modes and show that, when it exists, coupling is maintained only up to a critical field.
