The role of grain boundary character distribution in Goss texture development in electrical steels
A new mechanism for developing of the Goss texture is proposed. Goss grain is surrounded by the highest number of high-energy boundaries. They have a high mobility and a high grain boundary diffusion coefficient which facilitate the coarsening of precipitates interacting with boundaries. It is demon...

Summary: | A new mechanism for developing of the Goss texture is proposed. Goss grain is surrounded by the highest number of high-energy boundaries. They have a high mobility and a high grain boundary diffusion coefficient which facilitate the coarsening of precipitates interacting with boundaries. It is demonstrated that enhanced mobility of boundaries surrounding Goss grains generate the Goss texture. |
