Improvements in the form factors for heavy-ion transfer reactions

Calculations are made to show that it is sufficient to use the asymptotic form of one of the transfered nucleon bound-state wave functions in the form factor as long as the strength of the imaginary part of the optical-model potentials is characteristic of that used for elastic scattering.
