Large-angle alpha scattering from 40Ca is not anomalous

Differential cross sections for elastic α-scattering from 40Ca have been measured for 21 energies between 26 MeV and 47 MeV. Orthodox potential scattering using either a folding or a phenomenological potential is complete sufficient to explain the so-called large-angle anomalies in this case.
