Study of charmed vector meson production by antineutrinos

The two-stage decay D ∗− → D 0π −, D 0 → K +π − X of the D ∗− mesons produced by antineutrinos in the 15 ft bubble chamber is studied. For an antineutrino energy above 10 GeV the rate of D ∗− production relative to all charged current events is found to be 0.042 ± 0.013.
