Measurement of finite temperature chiral symmetry restoration in lattice gauge theory

We measure the finite temperature restoration of chiral symmetry on 12 3·6 and 10 3·6 lattices in quenched QCD. The scaling behaviour is consistent with the scaling of established measurements of the string tension and deconfinement temperature, and inconsistent with asymptotic scaling for β⪅6.0. We...

Description
Summary:We measure the finite temperature restoration of chiral symmetry on 12 3·6 and 10 3·6 lattices in quenched QCD. The scaling behaviour is consistent with the scaling of established measurements of the string tension and deconfinement temperature, and inconsistent with asymptotic scaling for β⪅6.0. We also give evidence to suggest that the deconfining and chiral symmetry restoring temperatures are not coincident.
