Summary: | The construction of the first-quantized BRST charge for the covariant Green-Schwarz superstring is obtained in the presence of the second-class constraints. The Lagrange multipliers for the second-class constraints are made into dynamical variables by use of the proper-time formalism. Problems with obtaining a Riemann surface description of multiloop amplitudes are briefly considered. |
