Summary: | We investigate charm quark production in a quark-gluon plasma and the contribution to the direct dilepton signal from the semi-leptonic decay of the charmed hadrons which are formed as a result of hadronization of the charm quarks in the mixed phase. The contribution to the dilepton from charm becomes significant for a plasma with initial temperature above 500 MeV. |
