Summary:Based on the revised Mark III data and recent measurements of D s + decay, two-body decays of charmed mesons are reanalyzed in the quark-diagram scheme. The observation of D s → K ∗0 K + when combined with the data of D +→ φπ + reveals the importance of the W-annihilation diagram in D→VP decays. The new measurement of D s +→ K 0 K + together with the data of D +→ K 0π +, K 0 K + implies the smallness of the W-loop diagram in charm decay. We also find that the data of D→PP (two pseudo mesons) cannot be accommodated without including the contributions of W-exchange and/or W-annihilation diagrams; this gives a hint for the importance of these nonspectator diagrams in D→PP decays. Predictions are made based upon these most recent data from our quark-diagram scheme.
