Multichannel instruments for fluorescent X-ray spectroscopy
Two multichannel instruments for fluorescent X-ray spectroscopy are described in detail, the Applied Research Laboratories' X-ray Research Quantometer and X-ray Industrial Quantometer. Each instrument uses a 60 kV, full-wave, filtered supply with a Machlett OEG-60 tube. The XRQ has been used wi...

Summary: | Two multichannel instruments for fluorescent X-ray spectroscopy are described in detail, the Applied Research Laboratories' X-ray Research Quantometer and X-ray Industrial Quantometer. Each instrument uses a 60 kV, full-wave, filtered supply with a Machlett OEG-60 tube. The XRQ has been used with multiple flat-crystal spectrometers; the XIQ with multiple flat- and curved-crystal spectrometers. The recording circuits are very similar to those used in the Applied Research Laboratories' line of optical emission Quantometers. |
