Interpretation of soft X-ray emission spectra of aluminium-silver alloys

The soft X-ray Al L 2 3-emission from aluminium-silver alloys shows an increase in relative intensity at energies ∼7.5 eV below the emission edge. This feature may be due to transitions from the lower silver valence d-levels to aluminium core levels.
