Comments upon the Mattis model of a spin glass

It is shown that the spin model with random interactions recently proposed by Mattis exhibits a spin-glass transition characterized in particular by a cusp in the susceptibility. Some remarkable differences with the other spin-glass models such as the Edwards Anderson's one are stressed.
