Summary:The critical dynamics of an Ising ferromagnetic chain with two different coupling constants ( J 1⩾ J 2) is studied. Multi-spin flip processes are considered both for Glauber and Kawasaki dynamics. It is found that the dynamical critical exponent z is nonuniversal and depends on the ratio J 1 J 2 as well as the choice of the multi-spin flip process.
