Increased microhardness and positron annihilation in Al exposed to a high-power ion beam
This paper reports about the first results on the defects in Al which has been irradiated by a high power ion beam (HPIB). The microhardness in the Al bulk was revealed to relate to the formation of dislocation loops. Al samples have been isochronously annealed.
