A family of completely integrable multi-hamiltonian systems
We consider an N-component hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations, previously known to be bi-hamiltonian and completely integrable. We show that there exist not just two, but ( N + 1) compatible hamiltonian structures for this hierarchy. For the case N = 2 we relate our equations to a tri-hamilt...

Summary: | We consider an
N-component hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations, previously known to be bi-hamiltonian and completely integrable. We show that there exist not just two, but (
N + 1) compatible hamiltonian structures for this hierarchy. For the case
N = 2 we relate our equations to a tri-hamiltonian hierarchy introduced by Kupershmidt. |
