Summary: | A method of excitation of the second sound in superfluid helium with the help of modulated laser radiation is suggested. The optical wavelengths are of the order of 60 nm which corresponds to the region of absorption in helium. The time dependence of the temperature is calculated for different ways of variation of the radiation intensity. It is shown that for realistic values of the parameters the amplitude of the second sounds is quite measurable experimentally. |
