Stability limits of counter-propagating self-focused light beams in resonant media

The interaction counter-propagating light beams in a resonant medium with nonlinearity saturation in the presence of self-focusing is considered. The solutions in the form of filaments have been obtained and the region of their realization has been determined. It is shown that the stability of the f...

Description
Summary:The interaction counter-propagating light beams in a resonant medium with nonlinearity saturation in the presence of self-focusing is considered. The solutions in the form of filaments have been obtained and the region of their realization has been determined. It is shown that the stability of the filaments is determined by their energy values and, particularly, the beams with sufficiently unequal powers are unstable.
