Summary: | A questionnaire study on the sexuality of 55 women alcoholics and a matched sample of 54 non-alcoholics shows that for women alcoholics sexuality and partner relationships are definitely more stressful and conflicting than for the non-alcoholic control group. Women alcoholics describe to a greater extent than controls symptoms which indicate a disorder of sexual desire according to the model of H.S. Kaplan (H.S. Kaplan, Disorders of Sexual Desire, Simon & Schuster, New York, 1979). |
