Summary:Total biomass and element contents were determined for eight sample trees taken from a stand of 7-year-old lodgepole pine growing on a deep peat which had received P fertiliser at planting. Estimated uptake (ha −1) of elements by the stand was 143 kg N, 14 kg P and 54 kg K. Trees were estimated to contain 27% of the applied fertiliser.
