Summary:A new method of the synthesis of conducting polypyrroles, based on chemical oxidation of corresponding monomers by ferric tetrafluoroborate has been devised. The polymers obtained are black bulky powders with good ability for pressing into pellets. It has been shown that polypyrroles synthesized by this procedure are doped by tetrafluoroborate counterions and have an electrical conductivity up to 90 S/cm.
