The positive-negative ratio of muons at sea level in the range 3–360 GeV

Measurements have been made of the positive-negative ratio of near vertical muons at sea level in the range 3–360 GeV. The gradual increase of the charge ratio with energy above ≈ 50 GeV observed in the preliminary experiment using this instrument has been substantiated by the present data. The resu...

Description
Summary:Measurements have been made of the positive-negative ratio of near vertical muons at sea level in the range 3–360 GeV. The gradual increase of the charge ratio with energy above ≈ 50 GeV observed in the preliminary experiment using this instrument has been substantiated by the present data. The results are examined in terms of various theoretical predictions.
