Pomeron and f exchange in elastic and inelastic scattering

Description
Summary:Within the framework of the f-dominated pomeron scheme for diffractive scattering, we consider three independent ways to separate f and pomeron contributions. Using recent high-statistics data for natural parity resonance production we find that the ratio of pomeron and f couplings in these processes is smaller than in elastic scattering. We discuss the theoretical implications of this observation and present predictions for forthcoming measurements at high energy.
