Double scattering rapidity distributions from π − d interactions at 205 and 360 GeV/c

The rapidity distribution of charged particles for double scattered events has been extracted from π − d interactions at 205 and 360 GeV/ c. The ratio of this distribution to that obtained in π − p interactio,s, R( y), peaks in the target fragmentation region, falls to a plateau of 1.3–1.4 in the ce...

Description
Summary:The rapidity distribution of charged particles for double scattered events has been extracted from π − d interactions at 205 and 360 GeV/ c. The ratio of this distribution to that obtained in π − p interactio,s, R( y), peaks in the target fragmentation region, falls to a plateau of 1.3–1.4 in the central region, and becomes less than 1 in the projectile fragmentation region. We compare these results with predictions of several theoretical models.
