Vibrational spectra of organotin compounds—III Infrared spectra and normal coordinate analysis of methylstannane

The infrared spectra of CH 3SnH 3, CH 3SnD 3 and CD 3SnH 3 have been obtained in the region 4000-250 −1. For each isotopic species, the fundamental frequencies have been assigned to their vibrational modes. Band origins, several upper state rotational constants, and Coriolis constants were obtained...

Description
Summary:The infrared spectra of CH 3SnH 3, CH 3SnD 3 and CD 3SnH 3 have been obtained in the region 4000-250 −1. For each isotopic species, the fundamental frequencies have been assigned to their vibrational modes. Band origins, several upper state rotational constants, and Coriolis constants were obtained from the analysis of the rotational structure of the six E-type bands of CH 3SnH 3 and three E-type bands of CD 3SnH 3. A normal coordinate analysis was performed to obtain the best set of harmonic force constants, the eigenvectors and the potential energy distributions.
