Infrared and Raman spectra of 1,3,4-thiadiazole and some of its isotopic species. Vibrational assignment

The infrared absorption spectra of 1,3,4-thiadiazole and its [2-D], [2,5-D 2], [2- 13C] and [3- 15N] species have been recorded in the region 5000–400 cm −1 in the vapour phase, in C 2Cl 4- and in CS 2-solutions. Also, the Raman spectra and the infrared spectra of 1,3,4-thiadiazole and its deuterate...

Description
Summary:The infrared absorption spectra of 1,3,4-thiadiazole and its [2-D], [2,5-D 2], [2- 13C] and [3- 15N] species have been recorded in the region 5000–400 cm −1 in the vapour phase, in C 2Cl 4- and in CS 2-solutions. Also, the Raman spectra and the infrared spectra of 1,3,4-thiadiazole and its deuterated species have been studied in the liquid phase. A complete assignment of the fundamental vibration frequencies of 1,3,4-thiadiazole and its isotopic species is given, based on the observed band contours, the Teller-Redlich product rule and the complete isotopic rule given by Brodersen and Langseth.
