Description
Summary:The copper(I) and silver(I) complexes of 2-amino-5-methyl-1,3,4- thiadiazole (MATZ = L) CuL 3X (X = Cl, ClO 4), CuL 1.5 Br, CuLI, AgLX (X = ClO 4, CF 3COO, 1 2 SO 4), AgL 2.5X (X = BF 4, NO 3) and 2,5-dimethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole (DTZ = L′) CuL′ 0.5X (X = Cl, I), CuL′Br, AgL′X (X = ClO 4, CF 3COO), AgL′ 0.5 X (X = NO 3, BF 4(H 2O)) have been prepared and studied by conductometric and i.r. methods. MATZ is coordinated through the aminic nitrogen atom and in some complexes also through one or two ring-nitrogen atoms. DTZ is coordinated to the copper(I) atom only through the ring-nitrogen atom, while in its silver(I) complexes also the ring-sulphur atom seems to participate in the coordination.
