Description
Summary:Axiomatic principles for simulation of the process of sediment compaction were formulated. On this basis, a multiplicative model of compaction of sedimentary rocks was prepared, which is a principal part of models representing changes in rock properties under the influence of thermobaric, structural-lithological and geotectonic factors. On the basis of experimental and field measurements using concepts of the fuzzy sets theory, methods of formalization of natural factors were developed. Models of compaction of sedimentary rocks (terrigenous and carbonate) were developed on computers by the Monte Carlo method. The application limits for the suggested models were evaluated. Many calculations of properties of terrigenous and carbonate rocks at different geological conditions were carried out. The role the proposed models play in revealing zones of abnormally high porosity of sedimentary rocks is discussed, and the methods of using calculated values of reservoir rock properties in searching for oil and gas deposits and estimating their reserves are presented.
