Description
Summary:Positron lifetime measurements have been performed in transition metal-metalloid amorphous alloys. The increased positron lifetime observed in ternary amorphous alloys is attributed to the distortion of their local structure caused by the introduction of a second transition metal element. Chemical interaction between the constituents seems to affect the local structure more than their relative atomic size.
