The role of surfaces and interfaces in the behaviour of non-polarizing and polarizing supermirrors
A description of the physics of supermirrors is given and different methods of calculating the reflectivity are compared. Inclusion of losses in these calculations is described and the different optimizations of layer sequences are reported. Some methods of production are described. We insist on the...

Summary: | A description of the physics of supermirrors is given and different methods of calculating the reflectivity are compared. Inclusion of losses in these calculations is described and the different optimizations of layer sequences are reported. Some methods of production are described. We insist on the importance of on-line ellipsometry measurements and the information about interfaces and surfaces that can be obtained by this method, which is briefly described. |
