Nonlinear CVC and critical current of the superconductive glass model

The power-law current-voltage characteristic (CVC) V ≈ ( I-I c ) a is calculated via the superconductive glass (SG) model. Temperatu re and magnetic field dependence of the exponent a and the critical current I c are discussed. It is shown, in particular, that a( T c )=2, thus excluding a possible 2...

Description
Summary:The power-law current-voltage characteristic (CVC) V ≈ ( I-I c ) a is calculated via the superconductive glass (SG) model. Temperatu re and magnetic field dependence of the exponent a and the critical current I c are discussed. It is shown, in particular, that a( T c )=2, thus excluding a possible 2D Kosterlitz-Thouless transition within the SG model. The obtained results are in qualitative agreement with experimental data for high- T c superconductors.
