Description
Summary:The ac-susceptibility and low-field magnetisation of textured YBCO thick-film ring samples are shown to be strongly frequency dependent. measurements are interpreted in terms of an “eddy-current” loss model with effective time constant comparable with measurement frequencies. Numerical computation of the magnetic properties are illustrated for idealised V/I characteristics of the thick film including thermally activated flux flow.
