Summary:Josephson junctions and dc-SQUIDs were made by growing and patterning thin films of YBa 2Cu 3O 7 (YBCO) on bicrystals of yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ). The junctions showed Josephson behavior under microwave radiation and magnetic fields at 77 K. The SQUID flux response was up to 12 μV at this temperature. The flux noise was 1.5×10 −9φ 0 2/Hz at 10 Hz and 85 K for a 70 pH SQUID.
