Description
Summary:The effect of conduction electron screening in the Anderson impurity model has been studied within a numerical renormalization group approach. The specific heats and static susceptibility show universality at low temperature. For the symmetric model in the Kondo regime there is a renormalization of both the hybridization strength Δ and the Coulomb repulsion U ff in the dynamic properties. The renormalizations imply that the valence-band PES and BIS spectra and the f-electron magnetic excitation spectra are compatible with the thermodynamic properties.
