Influence of precursors in the Bi-superconductors preparation

The best results for the preparation of the oxide Bi 1.42Pb tSr 1.8Ca 2.2Cu 2.85O 10+v were obtained using Bi 6Pb 2O 11 and very short sintering periods. Other precursor, Sr 2−zNa zCaCu 2O 5+x, led to good-quality single-crystals of Bi 2−yTe ySr 2−zNa zCaCu 2O 8+q (0 < 0.3; 0 < z < 0.5). X-...

Description
Summary:The best results for the preparation of the oxide Bi 1.42Pb tSr 1.8Ca 2.2Cu 2.85O 10+v were obtained using Bi 6Pb 2O 11 and very short sintering periods. Other precursor, Sr 2−zNa zCaCu 2O 5+x, led to good-quality single-crystals of Bi 2−yTe ySr 2−zNa zCaCu 2O 8+q (0 < 0.3; 0 < z < 0.5). X-ray diffraction studies on these superconductors reveal small structural changes for different preparative conditions.
