Summary: | The self-consistent model of Molinari
et al. (1987) has been simplified and applied for the interpretation of the experimental results obtained by Bons and Urai (1993) on the creep behavior of mixtures of camphor and octachloropropane. The tangent, secant, static and Taylor approaches are employed. It has been found that the tangent formulation of the interaction law between the phases and the matrix reproduces best the experimental behavior of the mixtures at the higher strain rates (10
−3–10
−5 s
−1) while the secant and Taylor models are better at very low strain rates (10
−5–10
−6 s
−1). |
