Near-IR-excited Raman scattering in graphitic materials
One-phonon and two-phonon Raman spectra are reported for polycrystalline and microcrystalline graphites, excited at 1064 nm. Comparison with visible-excited spectra shows a large red shift and a strong enhancement of the intensity of the defect-activated one-phonon band and the two-phonon band, whic...

Summary: | One-phonon and two-phonon Raman spectra are reported for polycrystalline and microcrystalline graphites, excited at 1064 nm. Comparison with visible-excited spectra shows a large red shift and a strong enhancement of the intensity of the defect-activated one-phonon band and the two-phonon band, which is also dependent on surface treatments. A tentative model to explain such observations is suggested. |
