Polymers containing metal chelate units. IV. Immobilised complexes of transition metal acrylates with 2,2′-dipyridyl and 1,10-phenanthroline
Several metal chelate monomers have been synthesized by the interaction of nickel(II), cobalt(II) and chromium(III) acrylates with 2,2′-dipyridyl or 1,10-phenanthroline in alcohol. Their composition, spectral (UV, visible, near IR, and IR) and magnetic properties have been investigated. A method of...

Summary: | Several metal chelate monomers have been synthesized by the interaction of nickel(II), cobalt(II) and chromium(III) acrylates with 2,2′-dipyridyl or 1,10-phenanthroline in alcohol. Their composition, spectral (UV, visible, near IR, and IR) and magnetic properties have been investigated. A method of immobilising metal chelate monomers on a polytetrafluoroethylene surface by suspension grafting polymerization has been developed. A comparative analysis of physico-chemical properties of the low molecular weight complexes and their immobilised analogues has been conducted. |
