Applied correlated crystal field

Attempts are made to fit the lines of rare earth optical spectra with scaled point charge electrostatic parameters associated with one-electron operators and polarized point dipole parameters associated with two-electron operators. The test materials are Pr 3+- and Nd 3+-doped Y 2O 3 and Nd 2O 3. In...

Description
Summary:Attempts are made to fit the lines of rare earth optical spectra with scaled point charge electrostatic parameters associated with one-electron operators and polarized point dipole parameters associated with two-electron operators. The test materials are Pr 3+- and Nd 3+-doped Y 2O 3 and Nd 2O 3. In addition, the radial variation law of the one-particle crystal field parameters with the rare earth-ligand distance is re-examined with reference to experimental data and two-electron hybrid integral values.
