Preparation and in vitro activity of aryl ether derivatives of the FK-506 related immunosuppressive macrolides ascomycin and L-683,742

The arylation of the immunosuppressive macrolides ascomycin and L-683,742 using pentavalent bismuth reagents is described. The in vitro activities of the aryl ether analogs are reported. The C32-O-aryl ethers of the immunosuppressive macrolides ascomycin and L-683,742 were prepared using pentavalent...

Description
Summary:The arylation of the immunosuppressive macrolides ascomycin and L-683,742 using pentavalent bismuth reagents is described. The in vitro activities of the aryl ether analogs are reported. The C32-O-aryl ethers of the immunosuppressive macrolides ascomycin and L-683,742 were prepared using pentavalent bismuth reagents. The in vitro activities of the aryl ether analogs as measured in a T cell proliferation assay are reported.
