Nuclear spin coherence transfer induced by a single static field gradient pulse

It is shown by straightforward calculations that a single static field gradient pulse can induce a transfer of the type 2 I A, x I X, y → 2 I A, y I X, x where I A and I X refer to spin operators of a weakly J-coupled system of two spin- 1 2 nuclei. A simple experiment, starting with the selective e...

Description
Summary:It is shown by straightforward calculations that a single static field gradient pulse can induce a transfer of the type 2 I A, x I X, y → 2 I A, y I X, x where I A and I X refer to spin operators of a weakly J-coupled system of two spin- 1 2 nuclei. A simple experiment, starting with the selective excitation of spin A and ending up with antiphase doublets for both A and X nuclei, demonstrates this feature.
